Canaan Cares
Canaan Cares offers staffing to participants of the Self Determination Program. We are currently in the following counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego. Canaan Cares offers staffing that is primarily look-alike to the traditional services of Independent or Supported Living, Tailored Day, Respite Care, and Personal Assistance. This includes support for personal health and hygiene, managing finances, pursuing education or taking classes, vocational goals, accessing the community, utilizing public transportation, increasing personal safety in and out of the home, cooking, learning independence in chores/housekeeping, partaking in exercise, and providing families with a break by providing respite care in or out of the home. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and customer service; should other services besides what we offer be desired, Canaan Cares will expand into new locations or services if we can provide the best quality of service during and through the expansion.
Canaan Cares wants to serve the community in every way possible. The CEO is a lifelong advocate for individuals with disabilities, and is deeply motivated to support the community by the legacy his eldest daughter left when she passed away from a degenerative neurological disorder. The Executive Director is a staunch advocate of justice, dignity, and respect, and believes fiercely in equity for all.
